Learning Objectives
We have planned the program so that learners, based on the content presented, will be able to:

  • Use the Medical Professional Liability Association and facilitated networking opportunities as resources for best business practices.
  • Understand the impact of overall physician wellness on patient safety, identify the complex issues surrounding this concern, particularly in conjunction with a pandemic, and develop a multi-faceted plan to support healthcare professional insureds.
  • Develop leadership skills to learn how to be resilient in times of great change, become high performers who are equipped to address and face change—both personal and professional; in addition, lean into conversations on diversity, equality, and inclusion.
  • Learning from both sides of the courtroom—plaintiff and defense, create successful strategies for mitigating the legal challenges caused by COVID-19, including resolving existing and future claims.
  • Identify a communications crisis and learn how to move to action; communicate an organization's position, determine correct internal and external communications, and manage social media commentary against insureds and/or the organization.
  • Measure improvement in quality outcomes for healthcare professionals using analytics from value-based care efforts and understand the impact and importance on the MPL industry.
