MACM’s Robert M. Jones Receives MPL Association Outstanding Member Engagement Award

(Rockville, MD, May 3, 2024)—The Medical Professional Liability (MPL) Association is pleased to announce that Robert M. Jones, immediate past president and chief executive officer at MACM, will receive the Outstanding Member Engagement Award. Jones is being honored for his outstanding contributions to the Association through steadfast support while with a member company. The MPL Association is the leading international organization representing the medical professional liability insurance community.

Jones was named president and chief executive officer of MACM in 2014. He joined the company in January 2004 as legal counsel representing MACM in corporate, insurance, and other related issues. Before joining MACM, he was in private practice for 26 years. Jones has represented individual physicians and medical groups with respect to general healthcare, corporate, real estate, contracting, and business law matters. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Mississippi Bar, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, American Health Lawyers Association, and the American Association of Corporate Counsel.

Jones’ long-time support of the MPL Association included serving on the Conference Committee, Corporate Counsel Section, the Regional Member Roundtable, and the MPL PAC, most recently as chair.

The MPL Association Outstanding Member Engagement Award will be presented at the 2024 MPL Association Conference on May 9 in Washington, D.C.
